The Largest Study of its Kind
The Annual ASDA'A BCW Arab Youth Survey presents evidence-based insights into the hopes, aspirations and attitudes of the Arab world's largest demographic, its over 200 million youth. These insights provide governments, the private sector, media and civil society with information for decision-making and policy formation.
The 13th annual survey was conducted by BCW Group's international research firm PSB Insights to explore attitudes among Arab youth across 50 cities and territories in 17 states in the Middle East and North Africa.
The face-to-face interviews were conducted from June 6 to June 30, 2021, with young Arabs aged 18 to 24. We explored bold themes: outlook, identity, gender rights, religion, foreign policy and climate change, among others.

Hope for the Future
Reflecting the positive outlook and optimism of young Arabs, this year's study was titled, ‘Hope for the Future.’
We created shareable social media soundbites, media collateral and infographics, and presented the top findings at an online launch event in October followed by a panel discussion with subject experts. We also created an in-depth white paper with expert commentary.
All the data are available for the public to access at the survey's dedicated website.
A Global Impact
The 2021 survey made a huge impact with Tier 1 media coverage in over 1,729 global outlets in addition to 72 hours of prime-time TV, reaching over 2.4 billion people.
Top line coverage was secured in 76 countries in 17 languages, including CNN, Bloomberg, CNBC, and others.
On social media, the survey generated 14.89 million impressions with an engagement of 1.35 across 68 countries. Notable personalities who shared our findings with their followers included HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
