Ben Boyd
Chief Strategy & Operations Officer

Ben Boyd is Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at BCW, with a focus on honing strategy, maximizing operational efficiency and supporting client service and development. He collaborates with C-suite executives to achieve their business objectives and actively partners with the agency’s global client teams to impart his experience and expertise more broadly.

Ben has over 25 years of communications and marketing experience across corporate reputation, brand positioning, executive visibility, issues management and other specialties. In his current role, he is responsible for ensuring the agency’s strategy is implemented and supporting the BCW culture, as well as managing critical client relationships.

Prior to joining BCW, Ben held multiple leadership roles at Edelman. He was most recently Chief Client Strategy Officer, overseeing the agency’s client experience program, counseling C-suite executives and partnering with the firm’s top clients. He also led Edelman’s signature intellectual property studies, including The Trust Barometer. Before that, he spent 11 years at the helm of Edelman’s Global Corporate Practice, overseeing Global Practices and Sectors, managing the firm’s global marketing function and leading key clients.

Earlier in his career, Ben served as international director of communications for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Americans for Health Care campaign, advocating for universal access to healthcare in the U.S. He was also the North American head of communications for SITA, where he executed integrated communications campaigns to drive market share. Prior to this work, he supported the world’s largest retail bookseller’s corporate transition as head of communications for, an early entrant into the age of ecommerce.

Ben has served on a number of boards and is active with causes important to him, including the Cornell Advisory Board and the ProPublica Business Advisory Council Advisory, the Trevor Project and Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Wake Forest University and lives in the heart of Manhattan with his husband and dog, Casey – unless it’s the weekend, when you will find him in on his tractor in The Berkshires.
